One Direction member Zayn Malik quits the group and fans can't even

Just this morning, we reported the rumours that Zayn Malik, the sexy, steel-eyed ciggie smoker from One Direction, was considering leaving the band. In what can only be described as literal hell on earth for millions of teens and teen-like adults the world over, the news is officially true.

One Direction shared the following official statement on their Facebook page, confirming that Zayn is officially out of the band:

Considering just how rabid 1D fans are on any other day, the news has completely destroyed lives in schools and workplaces around the globe. As we’ve captured in the above slideshow, there are young people barfing at school, sobbing in class and asking their parents to pick them up. Truly a dark day for humanity.
