Nicki Minaj and Christina Milian fighting over the phrase "On Fleek"

Our failures as a future society are often punctuated by a lack of hover cars, food replicators and open borders with aliens.

We contest that.

We have failed as a future society by allowing phrases like “On Fleek” to happen. Worse — by watching people argue over who invented it.

On Instagram, because of course, Nicki Minaj said she’s waiting on a commission for Christina Milian’s “Pretty on Fleek” shirt. That’s a phrase Minaj used on the song “Feeling Myself,” and no, we’re not entirely sure what it means either.

A cursory scan of Genius reveals that Minaj’s song uses the line in conjunction with a reference to her vagina, however, and like, yo, that’s weird to put on a shirt, right? Whatever the case, Milian and Minaj apparently talked it out on Twitter, because yes, why wouldn’t they? [h/t Jezebel]
