Kanye West and Dame Dash just bought Karmaloop

Kanye West has never put all of his eggs in one basket, and no, that’s not a confusing stab at Kim Kardashian.
Because his hip-hop career started off behind the scenes, he’s always had an entrepreneurial take on things. But his collaborations with Nike, Adidas and APC always felt like an extension of his creativity, but his investments. Which explains why today we heard that he, alongside Damon Dash, had purchased popular street wear e-shop Karmaloop.
Famous at one point for their unlimited list of coupon codes and snarky gold-foil t-shirts, Karmaloop has grown into a behemoth: It pulls in hundreds of millions in revenue every year, sells hundreds of brands and has since sparked a few offshoots. So, it would make sense why Yeezy and Dash, who you might know better as Jay Z’s former business partner, would buy in. Dash confirmed the news in a series of Instagram posts and videos. Kanye… he just kind of stood around and scowled, but we’re used to that by now.
