As a music fan, there are few times more exciting than the spring, when summer festival lineups are rolled out one by one. And for Canadian fans, 2015 has been an especially thrilling time: Bestival, with its focus on expert-curated fare with a penchant for electronic music, is arriving in Toronto for the first time. Ditto for Wayhome, the Bonnaroo-affiliated camping event landing in Ontario. And Sled Island continues to make gutsy programming decisions, this year tapping Godspeed! You Black Emperor to lead the proceedings.

Still, looking over the colourful festival posters, one thing becomes very apparent: The fest circuit, fun as it is, is still very much male-dominated. (A point driven home by the Internet, who removed the all-male acts from Leeds and Reading posters to reveal… well, empty posters.) That got us thinking: What would Canadian festival posters look like with the all-male acts removed? We Photoshopped a few to find out.
