Ever been sitting around with your butt out and wondered, “I’m bored, what can I do with this butt to not be?”

If yes, you’re in luck: A Danish tech company has invented a new instrument that uses accelerometers attached to your butt — or anywhere else, I guess — to make music.

The hook of their Real Booty Project, AIAIAI and OWOW’s aptly named “booty drum” can track movements made by a twerking bubble butt and, through music software and MIDI values, translate that into samples in Ableton.

Maybe the coolest part about all of this, other than all the aforementioned butt stuff, is the opportunity for collaboration between artist and dancer. Imagine someone dropping a fat beat, then a dancer, with these devices attached to his or her badonkadonk, firing signals back with each minute’s jiggle.

So what does it sound like? Not nearly as fart-y as you’re probably expecting.
