Alexisonfire have reunited

Last week, Canadian post-hardcore greats Alexisonfire took to Instagram to hint that a very large announcement was coming on March 9. And today, we found out the news: The band, who broke up in 2011, is reuniting for a string of summer shows, playing festivals in Canada and the U.K.

The band posted this image to Twitter, detailing their string of dates—including fest dates in Montreal, Toronto, Edmonton and Calgary. They provided no comment, so it’s unclear what the future holds beyond these dates—so it’s anyone’s guess if they’re playing music of a certain album or recording anything new. (We can always hope, though.)
