Sometimes it’s easy to forget that Snoop Dogg, the laid-back, family friendly dude who hangs with Ellen and phones in chill-ass verses on your fave Katy Perry jam, has, in the past, faced drug and firearm charges, skirted murder charges, settled a claim that he bribed underage girls to go topless on camera, and little things like that.
Recently, he took to his hilarious weed-and-meme-filled Instagram to spew some homophobic garbage, mocking the appearance of a gay man and causing a pile-on from tens of thousands of his millions of followers.
The man in the image is Cortez Booze, a care home worker from Edgewater, Maryland; he has reported the photo to Instagram, and, as TMZ reports, hired a lawyer to persue charges against Snoop.
Let’s also not forget the other rescent instance of Snoop’s homophobic Instagram: in September, he posted a screencap of another user’s photo of two men in bed together, captioning it “U n ya boyfriend since you like Jumpn on my page disrepectn bitch boy go suck ya man n get off my line f.A.G.” The picture and comment were deleted shortly after, but Snoop. This is the internet.
