From a two piece to a three piece and back again, catl. have been through some changes over the years, but their bluesy two-step has endured them all.
Now perhaps stronger than ever, we’re pleased as punch to be premiering their new video for “F.U. Blues.”
Directed by Hamilton’s 5th Monkey Productions, the clip sees the Hogtown duo’s own Sarah K. turning down unwanted advances from Steeltown’s sleaziest in Sin City-esque bursts of stylized hyper-violence. The message, as the band explains, is simple: Don’t fuck with the ladies.
The song is the second single off This Shakin’ House, and since you’re probably liking what you hear, be sure to catch catl. tonight in Hamilton, where they’ll celebrate the video’s release at the very same bar much of it was shot in—This Ain’t Hollywood.
From there, they’ll head to Guelph tomorrow for a show at DSTRCT, then Waterloo’s Jane Bond and finally The Legendary Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto on January 31st.
