The ever-enigmatic Axl Rose has had an interesting go of it over the years. Even forgetting the fiasco surrounding Guns N’ Roses’ rotating line-ups, concert cancellations and infamous album delays, he’s been victim to rumours, outbursts and, earlier this week, a half-witted death hoax.

The joke here is that while the fabricated MSNBC report circulating that says Rose found dead in his home in West Hollywood is clearly fake, it didn’t exactly have to look real to convince people—see also Culkin, Macaulay.

But to his credit, Axl’s having fun with this one. On the official Guns N’ Roses Facebook, he, or whomever moderates the page, shared this image, originally shared by a Guns N’ Roses fan page:

And on Twitter, last night Axl Rose wondered: “If I’m dead, do I still have to pay taxes?”

To which we asked: Wait, Axl Rose actually pays his taxes? And then we remembered, dude’s actually apparently a landlord’s dream.
