On November 22nd, 1987, WGN-TV’s 9pm newscast was interrupted by the grainy, grinning face of recently-cancelled TV personality Max Headroom. It happened again two hours later on the local PBS affiliate. What the hell was happening? And who’s putting porn in the Super Bowl?
