We’re closing in on a year since we lost Dave Brockie, and the iconic Gwar frontman, better known to fans as Oderus Urungus, is still pissing people off from beyond the grave.

On Sunday, religious protestors demonstrated outside of a Gwar show in Spokane, Washington, yelling at fans about being “on the side of the devil” and that they “don’t have to be burning in hell like the lead singer of Gwar is right now.”

The protest was small, at about six people, none of whom seemed to be in on the joke. Gwar fans took it in stride, because it’s hilarious, and barring the fan who yelled “Hail Satan!” at the megaphone-wielding zealot, mostly seemed unbothered by the demonstration.

Dave Brockie died of a heroin overdose in March. Oderus Urungus was slain shortly thereafter when Gwar’s enemy, Mr. Perfect, impaled him on his own sword, stealing his immortality.
