As one of the first truly useless celebrities of the 2000s, it’s an incredible feeling to realize just how little we think about Paris Hilton these days. There were those brief years when she tried to be a singer, and sure, “Stars Are Blind” was almost a jam, but by and large she’s kept to the party scene so few actual adults seem to care about.

But that doesn’t mean she hasn’t been around. If you can believe it, she’s been toiling away at life as a DJ, going so far as to call herself one of the game’s best and biggest. She’s certainly one of the bigger earners—last year, she earned more than $2 million for four nights of work. If you do the math, her hourly rate is higher than Deadmau5 and Tiësto. Still, money doesn’t equal skill, and that’s what makes this next revelation so surprising: A French radio station has voted Hilton the “Best Female DJ,” like, in the world.

Maybe NRJ were trolling with the nod, but MixMag were quick to point out that she won “Best Breakthrough DJ” last year.

So, what do you think? Is it at all possible that she’s honed her skills behind the decks so competently so quickly? Or is DJing just that easy?
