Nicki Minaj songs slowed down sound exactly like Jay Z

While Nicki Minaj is a giant in the pop world, when she chooses to unleash, she’s as good a rapper as anyone. Like, seriously: Listen to “Dreams.” It’s proof enough. To our ears, she’s always had a style all her own—which is why we’re surprised to hear that, when she’s slowed down, she sounds exactly like Jay-Z. Like, seriously. It’s uncanny.

We first discovered it via Reddit, and after hearing a slowed-down rendition of “Moment For Life,” we were sold.

As it turns out, though, this isn’t a new discovery: Vancouverite Josh Lamb discovered this a year ago, and he has a Soundcloud page full of slowed-down Minaj songs that sound just like Jay Z.

Here, for example, is “Super Bass.”

And here’s “Alarm.”

Or “Stupid Hoe.”

Pretty insane, no? Check out more slowed-down Nicki Minaj here. Sadly, though, a sped-up Jay Z doesn’t sound much like Nicki Minaj.
