A key component of punk rock elitism is the ownership over bands like Black Flag, the Misfits and the Ramones, influential acts who have by all accounts evolved into straight up logos over the years. For the 15 year old in all of us, spotting a straight-up poseur in a Ramones shirt immediately makes us want to interrogate them; how many times have you even seen Rock and Roll High School? Do you have any Elvis Ramone bootlegs? You know, mature shit.

Point is: Get over it. People are always going to culturally appropriate cool shit, and punk, contrary to what your favourite Casualties shirt might say, is not a race or religion. Just be glad your taste is worth latching onto, ya?

(Oh, and check out a bunch of total fricken poseurs in Ramones shirts in the gallery up top. Fricken posers probably bought these all at Hot Topic.)

Thanks to Dangerous Minds for rounding these up.
