For a band that’s universally hated, we’re downright astounded by Nickelback’s popularity. Indeed, no one we know professes to actually like Chad Kroeger and co., but the fact is, somebody must dig ’em: They have nearly 20 million Facebook fans. They’ve sold more than 50 million albums exclusively in an era where nobody buys albums. They’ve had two albums sell more than 10 million copies apiece. They’re an anomaly both in rock ‘n’ roll and in the music industry, period—and they’re an indisputable force in pop culture.

Thing is, the only time we hear Nickelback is, like, when “Photograph” is played at the grocery store. And everyone we know hates the Abbotsford, B.C. yarl rockers with such ferocity, people literally get arrested for merely uttering the big N’s name. So, who actually listens to Nickelback? And where, exactly, are their fans listening to their copies of Here And Now—in their headphones? Behind rolled-up car windows? In their basements, late at night, so no one knows their shame?

Well, as Consequence of Sound notes, there’s an easy way to answer all these questions: Click on this link. It’ll pull up a list of your Facebook friends that like Nickelback, with the dead-simple option to unfriend them. Yes, we know that you could’ve gone to Nickelback’s Facebook page and dug around in the “people you know” section, but this is way, way easier. So, as Chad himself might say, what are you waiting for?

For my part, I had three friends who liked Nickelback (including AUX contributor Josiah Hughes). Now, to unfriend or not to unfriend?
