Could a movie kill you?

Not in the salacious, “violent media leads to violence” sense, but given the immersive, evolving nature of film, could watching a film kill you, or make you kill?

Last month, This Exists looked at whether a song could make you commit suicide, exploring the mythology behind songs like Hungarian suicide song “Gloomy Sunday” and Ozzy Osbourne’s “Suicide Solution.”

This time, we decided to branch out a bit and explore whether film can have the same effect.
