I sometimes have a dream that DMX is soundtracking my life, but there’s a twist—it’s not “Party Up” or “Who We Be” holding down my drowsy soundtrack, but instead the rapper’s infamous bark. Picture it like vintage Batman, his shouts of WHAT?! and gurgled UHs acting like onomatopoeiac accompaniment.

But here’s where I’m going with this: That’s how he soundtracks his own life. Because as bizarre as it was hearing him flex his way through “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer,” it’s far more fascinating to learn how naturally those noises slip out in his every day life. We know this now thanks to a beautiful, magical new video obtained by TMZ that shows the Ruff Ryder on an amusement park.

In it, DMX shows the kind of humanity and nervousness we’d put past his rough exterior while he waits for the Sling Shot to take flight. By the end, dude gets straight up inspirational. It’s perfect in every way.
