Even at its best, Ultimate Frisbee—we refuse to call it simply “ultimate”—conjures up images of pasty undergrads, pointlessly chasing a disc around their small-liberal-arts-school quad armed with ill-fitting cargo shorts, waist-length male ponytails, hairy-toed sandals, and a well-worn copy of Heidegger’s Being and Time. Indeed, it’s hard to make frisbee look cool—which is why we’re so impressed by Weezer’s drummer, Patrick Wilson.

The wonderful moment occurred in St. Augustine, Florida, while the band was playing their rollicking, Smash Mouth-esque hit, “Beverly Hills.” Watch him make a one-handed snag above, all without missing a beat on the song—the audience, naturally, loses its mind over the feat. Over the course of his 22-year career, it’s the second most impressive thing Wilson’s done—the first, of course, being the massive drum fills in “No Other One.”
