Coheed and Cambria fans take the band super bloody seriously. From reconstructing The Amory Wars to hyper-detailed fan fiction, they’ve found a way to invest themselves in Claudio Sanchez’s world beyond the music. And it looks like the band reciprocates on that investment—according to Stereogum, they paid a struggling, die hard fan’s mortgage.
Cyndi Crouch is part of the Coheed and Cambria fan site Cobalt & Calcium and was apparently facing eviction when she put up a crowd funding page online to dig out our of a financial hole. The band saw it and, according to TMZ, immediately pledged the $3000 she needed to get back on her feet.
“She’s a really awesome fan who is extra proactive and supports the band in everything we do,” said guitarist Travis Stever, who should know that I’ve been a fan since the Second Stage Turbine Blade and that I could probably use a bit of a hand with my student loans, you know, since they’re feeling so generous.
