PREMIERE: Watch the new Bad Channels video, "Death Toll"

Toronto’s Bad Channels topped our recent list of Canadian electronic acts to watch, and with good reason: songs like “Death Toll” perfectly encapsulate the duo’s contrasting sound. Layered beneath pulsing synths and a longing groove, Jessica Gierusz’s voice soars between Nick Grottick’s weaving harmonies.

Long story short: We’re fans. And that’s why today we’re happy to premiere the brand new video for “Death Toll” exclusively. Directed by Benjamin Dabu, the Maria Jose Cabrera-produced video is, at times, a disorienting affair, flickering through fields of black-and-white with a glitch-cloaked backbone and the occasional flash of light. It’s the perfect pairing for the song, which, conveniently, you can also grab for free off their eponymous EP.
