Turn your pride off for a second and riddle me this: Who wants to work on a Friday, really?

Here’s your distraction for the day if you answered “nobody,” which, be honest, you totally did. It’s a new website called Patatap that’s designed to turn your computer’s keyboard into an instrument, and pairs the experience with a unique visual experience. It short, it allows you to unleash your inner-Dan Deacon.

It’s intended at its core to capture synesthesia, the neurological condition which blurs the senses, allowing people to smell sounds and hear colours. It’s a collaboration between designer Jono Brandel and Japanese composers Lullatone, and, separate from its intentions, is incredibly super fun.

More importantly, it’s real easy to use. We’ve embedded the application up top, and playing with it is as easy as pressing keys A-Z, plus the Spacebar. When it comes to procrastination, this is the best thing since Hackertype. [via FastCo]
