KASHKA’s Kat Burns at first struggled to find momentum while writing her second album, Bound. But after scrapping much of its early songs and trekking off to Poland, the album came together as a collaborative, inspired effort. That sense of inspiration drives album-closer “Bloodlines,” the video for which we’re ecstatic to premiere above.

While the song takes is inspiration from Burns’ lineage, the video strips her heritage to its most primal point. She spends the Adam Christopher Seward-directed video enveloped in nature, mud-swept; as it progresses, the video blends two very distinct landscapes. By the song’s gripping catharsis, she’s seemingly one with her surroundings.

KASHKA’s Bound is out now on Play the Triangle.
