Track Of The Week: "Been There Before" by Ghost Beach

Over the course of my history posting this Track Of The Week column for AUX, 90% of the posts are made while I’m blogging from my office in Toronto.  But today, its one of those occasions where I’m either on the road, remotely up north, or down south at a music festival. Today, I can add “from a villa in Cannes” to my list, as I’m here for the MIDEM music conference, running tomorrow into next week.

My current soundtrack is from Ghost Beach, the song “Been There Before.” Known for their consistent number ones on the Hype Machine, the Brooklyn-based duo are getting set to release their debut album Blonde on March 4 via Nettwerk Records. Formed in 2012, the duo of Josh Ocean and Eric “Doc” Mendelsohn have perfected their unique blend of “retro and futuristic soaring synth pop.”
