Dad Metal album gets released

We’d always thought of Dad Metal as a blanket term to represent bands like Metallica, Megadeth, Deep Purple and Black Sabbath, but a recent Funny or Die skit has taken the term to interesting new heights.
Revolving instead around dad themed metal, the pseudo-compilation built the joke to its fullest, writing decently faithful sounding songs like the Necrotism-era Carcass sounding “Skylar Is Allergic to Peanuts” and the cock-rocking “Who Left Their Socks In the Living Room?”
But impressive as this and the rest of the list was—other songs include “What’s So Funny About My Jeans” and “You Were An Accident”—the craziest part is that it’s seemingly real. Not all of it, but enough. On Bandcamp, anyone willing to spend a buck will have access to the six song first volume.
