Wade from Alexisonfire and Gallows explains why Christmas Vacation is the best

In keeping with what Wade MacNeil has done with Video Clerk so far, it would make sense for his Christmas pick to be something with a cult following, like Black Christmas, or a left-of-centre choice like Die Hard or Lethal Weapon. But sometimes you can’t deny the classics, which is why this week the Gallows and Alexisonfire shredder is stating the obvious—that National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation is the best choice for holiday watching.

Sure, Wade’s selection breaks the Roger Corman B-Movie scale, but what it lacks in blood, boobs and the bizarre it makes up in pure fucking charm.

It’s a classic, and Wade’s happy to remind you why.
