What a year for new music.

As I’ve been posting these “Track Of The Week” features each friday, I’ve been throwing them onto an ongoing Soundcloud playlist. I’ve gotta say, its a pretty good (and eclectic) playlist. You can check it out below.

I found these songs from a variety of places. Bands that I’d featured in the past on Indie Music Filter, artists charting high on the Hype Machine, or even bands passed along to me from trusted sources. The music is from all around the world, including a good amount of artists from Canada (Sebastien Grainger, Dinosaur Bones, Still Life Still, Yukon Blonde). I’m really impressed by the bands coming to me from Australia and New Zealand (Ezra Vine, Vancouver Sleep Clinic, The Paper Kites, The Preatures, Lorde, Jagwar Ma), making me wonder, is that the newest breeding ground for amazing new music? At the moment, I’d say so.

I wish you a nice holiday. Spend some time with friends and family. And put some music on.

See you in 2014.
