I’m not afraid to admit it: I’ll totally judge a book by its cover. When it comes to music, every Tuesday is met with an army of new releases. Albums, singles and compilations are left to run wild online, and it’s easy to get lost in the mix. There are more than a few ways to discover something new, but what catches our eyes more than a great record label, familiar name or interesting title is the album art… for better or worse.

And so without delay, we spend a bit of time every Tuesday wading through new releases to find the week’s worst and weirdest. We’ve tried to strike a balance between all scenes, genres and levels of experience, but rest assured that every one of these totally exists. Seriously.

Fukkk Offf – I Wanna House You

We’re legitimately unsure of what it means to “house” someone, but we’d wager it leaves a pretty gross stain either way.

Abigoliah Schamaun – Subtle

Subtle? This is anything but.

Blood on the Dance Floor – Time Machine

Something something Hot Topic. Insert lazy punchline here.

Sentinhell – The Advent of Shadows

As long as this probably took to make, it’s still incredibly silly.

Mick Kelly – Amongst Women

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Josh A – Dubstep Sucks

Assuming this is “trolling,” it’s still done very poorly. Like, put some effort into the Grumpy Cat thing and lose the sunglasses, cool guy.

Kyle Dunnigan – Craig’s All Star, Rockin’ christmas, You Guys!

Hard to believe, but the tracklist lives up to the cover’s golden standard with songs like “My Baby Lamb Has Christmas Cancer” and “Santa’s Stuck up in Our Chimey.”

Akon – Konkrete Jungle

A for effort, but this just makes Akon look like he’s got a lazy eye.

Lola – D.I.V.A

All divas chill in empty dressing rooms.
