After skipping a solo circuit for My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and a stint with Jay-Z on the Watch the Throne tour, Kanye West was adamant about the vision for his much anticipated, superstar studded Yeezus tour. It was his first solo tour in five years, and everything had to be perfect. And now that it isn’t, the entire thing might be in jeopardy.

TMZ first reported yesterday that West has postponed the rest of his tour indefinitely after a truck carrying custom made video equipment was damaged beyond repair in an accident.

“This gear is central to the staging of The Yeezus Tour, and central to the creative vision put forth by Kanye West and his design team at DONDA,” said a publicist in an official statement. “As a result of this event, it is impossible to put on the show and The Yeezus Tour will be postponed until these essential pieces can be reengineered and refabricated.”

So far only four dates have officially been sidelined, including an already rescheduled Vancouver show, but it looks like the tour’s entire status could be on the rocks if this isn’t fixed. According to that same publicist, “Kanye West will not compromise on bringing the show, as it was originally envisioned and designed, to his fans.”

But at this point, we think they’d settle for a little less theatrics. Among the damaged equipment was a 60-foot, circular LCD screen which we assume fans in Vancouver would be cool to see the show without if it meant, you know, actually seeing the show.

We’ll let you know if the tour picks back up in time for the rest of its Canadian dates. As scheduled, Yeezus is supposed to hit Toronto on November 13th and Montreal the following day. As for Vancouver? Who the hell knows at this point.
