If there’s a single person who embodies audacious living, it’s Andrew WK. After all, the I Get Wet singer has far transcended the music realm—he’s transformed his positive partying lifestyle into an empire that includes a game show (Destroy Build Destroy), motivational speaking sessions, and a book deal. Of course, it’s hard to keep up with all of AWK’s exploits. So here, inspired by Samsung’s larger-than-life phone, the Galaxy Mega, are 13 of the man’s most incredible partying feats.

1. He once played the drums for 24 straight hours.

One of Andrew WK’s many odes to partying is called “Never Going to Sleep,” but few thought the man was being serious. But as is typically the case, he put his money where his mouth was: With help from Cuba Gooding Jr., ?uestlove and Zac Hanson (of Hanson, duh), AWK smashed the world record by drumming for a full day. That’s commitment.

2. He was asked to be a Ramone.

No, really. Not only was Andrew WK asked to be a Ramone, but he was asked by an orginal member—Marky—to perform with the band on their Blitzkrieg tour this year. His role in the band? To fill the gargantuan Chucks of Joey Ramone.

3. He honoured a last-minute request to play at a fan’s funeral.

Dom Mallary, the singer of New England hardcore band Last Lights, was beloved in both life and death—and after he died of a fatal blood clot, his friends decided to honour one of his wishes: Mallary wanted Andrew WK to play at his funeral. When AWK found out about Mallary’s request—thanks to a series of emails sent by the singer’s friends—he cancelled all his plans to perform classical piano at the funeral. Best dude? We think so.

4. He owns a musical pizza.

We love Sriracha and bacon as much as anyone, but let’s get one thing straight: There’s no foodstuff as delicious, and lust-worthy, as the humble pizza. AWK understands this, and he’s patterned his signature guitar after a slice of pie. “The party-est food,” he calls it in this Pitchfork video—and we don’t disagree.

5. He’s writing the Bible.

The Party Bible, that is. Last September, AWK announced that he’d inked a book deal with Simon & Schuster—and what else would he write about but partying? We’re amped to see how AWK’s Book of Revelations unfolds.

6. He once sang happy birthday to Lil Bub.

It’s easy to get cynical about Hamilton the Hipster Cat, Princess Monstertruck, or the legions of celebrity InstaCats. But if this video of AWK singing happy birthday to Lil Bub doesn’t melt your heart, you probably have no soul.

7. He’s sex-positive—and has a sanitary wipe sponsorship to prove it.

Andrew WK has always described partying cryptically—he doesn’t typically associate it with, say, booze and drugs. (Though at one point, it was widely believed that his iconic nosebleed came thanks to, uh, the booger sugar.) Yet he is fully supportive of party-based love, a fact he hammered home by endorsing Playtex’s Fresh + Sexy, a line of wipes meant to clean you up post-coitus. Hey, if they’re good enough for AWK, they’re good enough for us, too.

8. He was selected as a U.S. cultural ambassador to Bahrain.

Because even the U.S. State Department understands the healing power of Andrew. Though they’ve since rescinded the request, AWK was asked to be an ambassador to Bahrain, a volatile island nation in the Middle East. Needless to say, we would’ve sent him.

9. He owns an incredible dance club in New York City.

When the Santos Dance Club opened in 2008, it earned an embarrassment of awards from heaps of NYC publications, from The Village Voice to Paper. And why not? We expect nothing less from a club owned by a renowned party expert. Check the virtual tour above—and bring your dancing shoes.

10. He’s led numerous academic seminars.

Even if he had classical music training at the University of Michigan, few would consider Andrew WK an academic—except for academics themselves. Indeed, beyond his party-positive attitude, he’s also a reknowned motivational speaker who’s led seminars at Yale, NYU, Northeastern, and more.

11. He’s down with Sebastian Bach—and not the Sebastian Bach from Skid Row.

Despite the fact that he’s considered the world’s most posi hesher—heck, he had Obituary’s drummer play in his band—AWK hasn’t forgotten his roots. And, as it turns out, his roots are in classical music, which he studied at the post-secondary level. We’re anxiously awaiting AWK’s opera album.

12. He performed a million-volt piano solo.

At the request of David Blaine, AWK performed a keyboard solo, including bits of “Party Hard,” which, thanks to a series of rigged Tesla coils, sent a million volts of electricity into the magician’s body. He claims it’s the “party-est thing he’s ever done”—no small feat, there.

13. He went on Fox News, and this is what he had to say.

Best. .GIF. Ever.
