Against Me! finally announced today that they’ll release their long awaited new album Transgender Dysphoria Blues on January 21, and with it comes a few changes you might have heard of.

Most notably, the album marks the official recorded debut of singer Laura Jane Grace following her courageous coming out in May of last year. But beyond the personal changes are some on the personnel side. It’s their first since Against Me! Is Reinventing Axl Rose not to feature longtime bassist Andrew Seward, who left earlier this year. In fact the album features a new rhythm section entirely, with new bassist Inge Johansson being joined by wonderfully named drummer Atom Willard.

Interestingly, Spin says Fat Mike plays bass on a song called “FUCKMYLIFE666,” and the full tracklist (below) reveals another delightfully named song calledsuch gems as “Osama Bin Laden as the Crucified Christ.”

And then there’s the album cover, seen above.

In a press release, the image is described simply and seemingly disgustingly as “Steak Mtn.” Yes, that’s a boob. But Steak Mtn is the name of the cover artist Chris Morris’ design company, not the description of the surgically removed anatomy, even if it fits kind of perfectly.
