Listen to a new Pixies song, "Indie Cindy"

Surprise! While everyone was nursing Labour Day hangovers and tossing out overcooked hamburgers the Pixies were secretly toiling toward the relese of EP-1, their new four song collection that snuck out a release this morning.

The New York Times says it’s the first of a few mini-releases the Pixies will unveil over the next 15 months, noting that it’s available in a limited 10″ vinyl run (5000 copies) and available everywhere digital releases are sold.

But what if you need some convincing? What if you liked “Bagboy” but aren’t ready to believe in a Kim Deal-less Pixies yet? Up top is “Indie Cindy,” the first single off the new EP which Black Francis says is about self-doubt. How fitting. [via Pitchfork]
