Bob Dylan’s got an absurd amount of music, and in November, he’ll release pretty much all of it as part of massive, 43 CD collection.

Stemming his 1962 self-titled debut to last year’s Tempest, The Complete Album Collection, Vol. 1 includes all of Dylan’s studio albums, six live releases and Stray Tracks, a 2 CD compilation of stray songs from compilations and bootlegs. Add in a hardcore booklet and plenty of liner notes and the $209 price-tag seems pretty modest; do the math and that’s less than $5 a disc.

But because why not, there’s a deluxe, digital edition of the collection that’ll run you $338. It comes packaged in a fancy harmonica case and includes digital copies of all of the artwork and booklets from the CD-set, plus FLAC and CBR formatted songs and a presumabpy irritating proprietary GUI to import MP3s to your computer.

If you’re wondering how such an extensive set can be “complete” yet listed as “volume one,” it’s because Consequence of Sound says Dylan’s going to follow it up with an equally extensive bootleg series next year.
