Don’t watch this at work. Seriously. Don’t. Now that we’re done with disclaimers, though, Toronto-via-Lethbridge garage punks The Ketamines have just released a video for “Line by Line,” a single they originally released via Chicago independent powerhouse HoZac Records. The video—which we can only describe as a psychedelic blur of procreation, not-quite-substance snorting, and more procreation—was created by Colin Askey, the mind responsible for a similarly tripped-out video for Fist City. Askey’s video isn’t the first creative interpretation of “Line By Line”; chiptune artist UncleBibby also created an 8-bit rendition of the song. (Which almost sounds like a midi. And we love midis.)

In other band news, the band has also added guitarist Joel French, who also mans the six-string for bands like the AUX-approved Sphinxs. Meanwhile, the band’s Mammoth Cave / Southpaw-released 2013 LP, You Can’t Serve Two Masters, also continues to receive heaps of campus and community radio airplay—at current, it’s at no. 5 on the Earshot! Charts after finishing last week at no. 1.

The Ketamines—led by Paul Lawton, the rabblerousing mind behind the Slagging Off blog and frienemy of Dan Mangan—have also announced an extension of their summer tour. After touring Western Canada with new wave act Zebrassieres, they’ll be touring Ontario in August with new-minted Mint Records signees Tough Age. Check the vid for “Line By Line” and their upcoming tour dates below.
