Track Of The Week: "Peaches" by In The Valley Below
by Chris Budd
July 12, 2013
In the Valley Below are L.A. duo Jeffrey Jacob and Angela Gail, who met while playing in a loud, grungy guitar band.
One night while at SXSW (this seems to happen a lot), they realized there was something special in the passion and chemistry they shared on-stage and decided to start their own project. Equal parts atmospheric and gauzy, with sharp hooks and sing-along choruses, the duo’s songs are inspired by faithful archetypes and dealing with powerful subjects like sex, crime and religion. Their first single, “Peaches,” is a celebration of mutual attraction and sensuality that Jeffrey jokes could just be about fruit.
Arts & Crafts are bringing us this band, stay tuned for full-length release and touring plans.
