Track Of The Week: "Confidence" by The Dodos

Have you heard the new song from The Dodos?

The duo of Meric Long and Logan Kroeber are ready to go on their  new album Carrier (out August 27 on Polyvinyl), the follow-up to 2011′s No Color. Our first listen is the song called “Confidence,” which will be released as a digital single on May 21. The track reminds me of what I love about this band; warm, minimalist melodies pushed into a frenzied jam while Long sings “Who has it all, has nothing” to close out the song.

The album was heavily influenced by the death of Christopher Reimer, who joined the band in 2011. He was an inspiration to the band that led to them exploring more tones and sounds when writing the songs on Carrier.
