Remy Shand has been quiet since the surprise success of 2002’s The Way I Feel, but last week he sneakily released a new song, “WhereAreWeGoing?” that shows he hasn’t lost his trademark soulful swagger.

The song was first shared by Maiko Watson earlier this week. She’s Shand’s ex-wife and a former member of reality pop group Sugar Jones. They divorced in 2009, but the circumstances obviously weren’t that bitter.

Shand’s also posted another song, “Rollergirls,” which he dubs as being “Live from his bedroom.”

Wearing his trademark messenger cap, Shand grooves out on synths while sitting cross-legged on his bed and, in the video description, asks fans to add to the track.

“Please feel free to add some tracks to this, sing over it, or just whatever!” he says. “Make some art using what I’ve done as the foundation.”

Here’s one of the early returns:

Whether this means there’s a new Remy Shand album on the way or if this is just him dicking around we can’t be sure. But it’s good at least to know that the guy’s still kicking in some capacity. [via Canada.com]
