Keith Richards says he owes library fines from 50-years ago

Somebody grab Mr. Bookman because Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards has told the British Sun that he loved reading as a kid and owes his local library as much as £20,000 ($31,000 CAD) in late fees.

Richards says the library in Dartford, Kent was a place where you could get a hint that “there was a place called civilisation.”

“I still owe fines from about 50 years ago,” he added. Not that he can’t afford it.
