Chris Brown’s got a long list of controversies that mostly involve him being an abusive, childish brat, but this latest one is something entirely different, even if it is still a reflection of his “radiant” personality. His Hollywood Hills neighbours are mad at the dancer-slash-singer because of some pretty terrifying art that’s painted on the outside of his house.

President of the Hollywood Dell Civic Association Patti Negri tells the LA times that the area is full of babies and children that are “literally frightened” by the doodles.

“It’s like devils on the wall — big scary eyes and big scary teeth, and just the whole vibe is not what we’re used to,” she says.

What’s crazy is that yes, he is actually breaking an excessive signage law and, if he doesn’t remove the paintings in 30 days, Brown could be facing a fine of almost $400. His lawyer, Mark Geragos, simply won’t stand for that.

He says Brown’s neighbours are trying to suspend the 1st Ammendment and that he intends to fight the charges.

“I’m scared of neighborhood busybodies like this,” he said. “They’ve called animal control. They have sicced parking [enforcement] on him, and now they reached the heights of ridiculousness here. Shame on them.”

As for Brown’s neighbours, they say they’re happy to have him in the area as long as he “tones it down.” What assholes!
