TMZ is reporting that Ja Rule, the unofficial Cookie Monster of rap music, has been released from prison after serving two concurrent sentences for illegal weapon possession and tax evasion. Ja Rule's wife picked him up from Ray Brook Federal Prison this morning after serving almost two years for the charges. He'll be confined to his home until July 28th, at which point he'll be a free man.
