Track Of The Week: "Don't Swallow The Cap" by The National

If you’ve looked at the internet in the last few days, [ed note: WHO DOES THAT?] I’m guessing you’ve seen something about The National.  

The first track (“Demons“) from their upcoming album Trouble Will Find Me had people in a frenzy on monday, but I’m actually more stoked for the song “Don’t Swallow The Cap” which I heard earlier on today. It features Matt Berninger’s deep and hushed delivery and a driving rhythm that never lets up or builds into anything over the top. It kind of grabs you right away.

The new record comes out May 21 via 4AD and features contributions from St. Vincent, Sufjan Stevens, and Sharon Van Etten.
