Jimmy Kimmel got Coachella attendees to lie about liking made-up bands

Do most Coachella attendees consider themselves ahead of the curve compared to your average music fan? Or, is it even more extreme than that: is your average festival-goer so afraid of being behind on the latest buzzzzzz band that they’ll actually lie about liking them?

Jimmy Kimmel took his popular Lie Witness News segment to Coachella last weekend, where a correspondent asked festival goers for their opinion on bands that are “so obscure that they do not exist.” Some of the made-up band names include Shorty Jizzle & The Plumber Crooks, The Obesity Epidemic, and Get the Fuck Out of My Pool.

That last one will probably be a real band within a month. Maybe these people are just THAT ahead of the curve. They like bands before they even exist. Check out the video above.
