What song annoys you more right now? “Thrift Shop” or “Harlem Shake”? Say what you will about Macklemore, but at least no one’s asking you to participate in their stupid “Thrift Shop” YouTube parody.

Even though Baauer’s “Harlem Shake” is sitting pretty on top of the Billboard Hot 100 for the second week in a row, the Seattle duo’s colossally-overplayed hit “Thrift Shop” is achieving milestones for an independent artist. “Thrift Shop” sold 326,000 units this week, just barely edging them over four million sales total, officially certifying it quadruple platinum. Do Macklemore and Ryan Lewis have enough steam left to go diamond?

A Nas lyric comes to mind: “Oh you went platinum? yeah that’s nice, now let me see you do the same thing twice.” Your move, Macklemore.

Before you get too impressed, here are a few more annoying songs that also went quadruple platinum:

“Crank That (Soulja Boy)” by Soulja Boy

“Fireflies” by Owl City

“Like A G6” by Far East Movement

“Replay” by Iyaz

“Whoomp! There It Is” by Tag Team
