Someone sent 30 Seconds to Mars an ear

We don’t know when this happened, but 30 Seconds to Mars singer Jared Leto was on XFM Radio (via NME) when he told a disconcerting story about the time a fan sent him an ear. Like, from a human.

Calling it “The Van Gogh move,” Leto says the ear came with a note that said “are you listening?”

In fairness, one less ear probably would make their songs a little more presentable. But to be serious for a minute, that’s gross and insane.

Leto joked that he “poked a hole in it and wore it as a necklace” before advising fans not to “put [their] entire body in a case and send it to us.”

30 Seconds to Mars’ new album LOVE LUST FAITH + DREAMS is out on May 20th.
