It turns out booking a train for a cross Canada tour isn’t as easy to execute the second time around with Spinner reporting today that 2013’s Full Flex Express trek has been cancelled.

“During the past 4 months we lost the train we had booked, found a new one, and then realized the cost associated with using it would put us at a huge, huge loss,” said Skrillex on the festival’s website.

Still, the “Bangarang” producer says he’s still hoping to bring the idea back next year, calling this year’s mishap an “unfortunate convergence of circumstances.” The idea came to fruition last year when Skrillex was joined by the likes of Diplo, Grimes and Tokimonsta on a cross-country train fueled and Festival Express-inspired tour across Canada.

Anyone who bought tickets for any of this year’s shows is being offered a refund… which is a little odd, since the shows don’t actually take place on the train. The artists could theoretically bus it, though travel costs and times might not allow for that to happen. Tickets had been on sale since December, though venues and supporting artists had yet to be confirmed. Walk before you can run, Sonny.
