Heavy Metal Yoga is a thing that exists now

Yoga is supposed to be a relaxing way to exercise, stretch and let out the occasional spandex-filtered fart without judgement, making a heavy metal soundtrack about as natural as vegan bacon.
But if former wrestler Diamond Dallas Page can peddle Yoga for Regular Guys then it makes sense that Atlanta-based teacher Neda Draupai Honarvar would create Metal Yoga. It is after all about opening your mind.
The class says it helps participants “melt [their] face off in a very relaxing and healing way,” while artists like Iron Maiden play in the background. According to Atlanta Magazine, each class has its own themed artist (Sleep was the last choice) and runs at an intermediate level for 75-minutes.
