Canadian Music Week may be best known for bringing hundreds of bands through town over the course of a few days, but it also always offers a great selection of films. Here are five of the standouts we’ll be checking out this week at the TIFF Bell Lightbox.

THE LAST POGO JUMPS AGAIN

Using director Colin Brunton’s 1978 film The Last Pogo as a starting point, the long-awaited The Last Pogo Jumps Again extensively documents the punk/new-wave/alternative music history of Toronto, from when the Ramones first played Toronto in September 1976, until Teenage Head were booted off stage by the police at The Last Pogo, in December 1978. It’s long, but it’s a must-see.
