After teaming up for an arresting retro-inspired performance at the GRAMMYs, sources have told Rolling Stone that the duo will be hitting the road this year for the Suit & Tie collaborative tour, which is rumoured to consist of 11-13 co-headlining stadium dates.

JT & Jay-Z (that has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it?) hadn’t worked together previous to “Suit & Tie,” but neither are strangers to the co-headlining tour. Justin joined Christina Aguilera for the Justified/Stripped tour in 2003, and Jay-Z co-headlined the disastrous Best Of Both Worlds tour with R. Kelly before it collapsed in 2004. Seriously, if you haven’t checked out the legal documents pertaining to the Jay-Z/R. Kelly shit-show, it’s a must-read: “After leaving the stage to assault the lighting director, ‘without explanation or apology, R. Kelly returned to the stage, bowed to the audience, changed his outfit, hopped onto a waiting ‘People Mover,’ and left the venue before the concert was completed…R. Kelly then went to a local McDonald’s where he began to serve food to patrons at the drive-thru.'”

Yeah. Oh, and I guess there was that whole Watch The Throne tour, too.

There’s no way the JT/Jay-Z Suit & Tie tour could be as much of a trainwreck as the Best Of Both Worlds tour. In fact, we think it has the potential to be one of the craziest tours of the year, if they pull out all the stops. Here are a few things we’d like to see happen if the Jay-Z/Justin Timberlake collaborative tour actually happens.

An appearance from Beyoncé

Because how good would it be to see “’03 Bonnie & Clyde” going into “Until the End of Time”? Admittedly, we just want to see JT do the “Single Ladies” dance again.

Jay-Z doing his best Timbaland impression

We want to see Jay-Z do his best mean-muggin’ Timbaland impression, with him trying to make all all of Timb’s weird vocal noises from FutureSexLoveSounds. Wicky wicky wicky!

Jay-Z joining JT & Andy Samberg for a Lonely Island performance

Two reasons: “Mother Lover” could really benefit from a verse from HOV, and we really want to see Jay-Z with a goatee.

JT singing the hooks on all of Jay-Z’s songs

Just imagine JT’s take on “Izzo,” “Hard Knock Life,” “I Just Wanna Love U,” and “Empire State Of Mind.” It’s hard to think of a Jay-Z hook that wouldn’t sound great with Justin Timberlake singing it.

Jay-Z & Justin Timberlake perform “Suit & Tie” seventeen times in a row

It’s the only way to top the Watch The Throne tour.
