I still listen to Paramore’s Riot! more than any dude in his mid-20s should admit to, but I was a little let down by Brand New Eyes. Will their new album win me back? First single “Now” says… maybe.
The first single off the band’s first full-length post-Farro-bros break-up carries a bit of a different vibe than what fans might be used to, striking a chord (or four) closer to the 90s than the noughties, and singer Hayley Williams is all but imitating Gwen Stefani at parts. I’m okay with this, actually.
Paramore’s new self-titled album will be out in April. Prepare to be made uncomfortable, friends of mine!
