Nearly ten years after the initial release of Give Up, “classic indie” aficionados are being teased by the prospect of a Postal Service reunion, thanks to a cryptic post on Brooklyn Vegan. The news post, published earlier today, contains no text whatsoever, but the headline reads “Postal Service reunion in the works,” and the article includes a tag for Coachella.

This news is especially surprising, because as recently as October of last year in an interview with Spinner, Ben Gibbard said that there were “no plans to make a second [Postal Service] record,” while lamenting the excess of “mouse time” necessary in the creation of electronic music.

Until this news is confirmed or mythbusted, all we can do is listen to the Garden State soundtrack on repeat, and read our decade-old Live Journal archives. We’ll let you know if we hear anything either way. [Ed. note: POSTAL SERVICE REUNION BROUGHT TO YOU BY STAMPS.COM]
