It’s tough to answer the question posed in the title of Smash Brovaz’ digital album Think It’s A Game?. Luckily, it’s rhetorical but let’s make a game of it and try to get to the bottom of this.

Junia-T and Crooklin love the crap out of hip-hop, so much so that, up to this point, they’ve dedicated their lives to it. They also happen to be good at it, with their unbounded effortless flows and Junia-T’s sharp production. On stage, these two are usually beaming while they deliver their music to the audience. While some other rappers never crack a smile in an effort to look cool, it seems less about image for Junia and Crook but more about enjoying themselves. On this album, they get to work with talented and respected musicians like Slakah The Beatchild and the friggin’ jerk that produced Kendrick’s “Sing About Me” (Pac Div’s Like) along with close friends like fellow Torontonian Rich Kidd. Sounds like fun, right? It has to be. Sort of like a game, right? Maybe not so much. These guys do all of this independently and it’s evident that as much as they enjoy this work, they are very serious about it. Check out Think It’s A Game? below.
